Casa Del Milagro is located in the Playa La Jolla community at the Northern tip of the Sea of Cortez, also called the Gulf of California.  The water is warm and usually fairly calm.  West of Playa La Jolla is an opening to an estuary, then a residential area called Las Conchas, and finally Rocky Point.

An estuary directly behind Playa La Jolla is within walking distance and is an ideal swimming spot.  During high tides the Estuary fills up with sea water up to a depth of 15-20 feet.  During low tide, marine life in tide pools may be explored.  Scuba and snorkeling are local attractions.  High and low tides occur twice each day.
